A couple of years back, Gaurav’s grandmother developed a heart condition. Along with the medicine, doctors advised her to drink barley water too. She started drinking it regularly and observed changes in her overall health. That triggered Gaurav’s curiosity to know more about the benefits of barley. This further developed into a thorough research to unravel the significance of barley water, or more precisely, barley.
Meanwhile, though Gaurav’s grandmother accepted the benefits of barley water, she could not adapt to its taste. This was the inception point for Nava Foods.
Gaurav’s research led him to the conclusion that barley can provide miraculous benefits if consumed regularly in the form of a drink. Gaurav followed ancient wisdom to make this drink super powerful with the addition of dried herbs into it. Another reason to add herbs into barley water was to improve its taste. After carefully examining all the benefits of dried herbs and picking just the right combination of the five most important herbs, i.e., cinnamon, cardamom, fennel seeds, clove, and black pepper, Gaurav formulated Tisane. Tisane is a healthier and tastier version of barley water, all thanks to the natural flavors of dried herbs. To pursue this passion for making Tisane globally accessible to people, Gaurav quit his MBA. His pursuit, he says, ‘has given me now almost two wonderful years of experience and I firmly believe that this is a long journey. These two years have been full of blessings and appreciation from our customers in the form of their feedback for Tisane.’
