‘O-Fish started out of me and my family’s love for seafood. Leaving a well settled job wasn’t that easy but hey, you’ve got to follow your passion in life! So after months and months of research about Seafood and how regular people were sourcing it, we were extremely upset with the way one of the most delicate foods was being stored in the markets, and what was worse was that the customers had absolutely no clue. Meanwhile, a friend had started his own brand of frozen seafood in Chennai. Sourcing it directly from the fishermen meant there were no middlemen involved. Also, the techniques they used to freeze the produce were something that I’ve never witnessed. Every fish was individually Quick Frozen to retain the freshness of the catch. The kind of hygiene standards maintained at the factory compelled me to source my products directly from him.
