Madhavi and Shireen have been successfully running their own venture – Vedic Tattva for close to four years now. While they have enjoyed working in the education sector formerly as teachers, nothing quite matches the gratification of building something from scratch and watching it bloom. Vedic Tattva was the culmination of years of research on Ayurveda. During her study, Madhavi realised that Ayurveda has the perfect solution to most modern-day problems related to ones personal care. Such knowledge which was based on a holistic treatment system, has been pushed to the sidelines owing to the easy accessibility and aggressive marketing of mass-produced skincare products. Most of these are laden with chemicals that are detrimental to health and environment. With sustainability as the brand’s watchword, Vedic Tattva had been established with the goal of providing the best handcrafted personal care solutions. Being handcrafted is essential to the brand’s basic ethos because they feel that unless products are crafted individually by people (without the use of machines), it is almost impossible to keep a quality check, prevent wastage and pollution. ‘When, each day we pour our blends and tinctures into bottles, we are also pouring our cultural legacy, passion and love into each of them. And that makes all the difference’, says Madhavi.
